Hot topic: Donate for our refugee programmes
According to UNICEF, about one-third of all refugees coming to Germany are children. The German Children and Youth Foundation runs various programmes to support important processes of integration.

Patroness Elke Büdenbender
Since 2002, the German First Lady has served as patroness of the German Children and Youth Foundation. Elke Büdenbender, partner of current German President Frank-Walther Steinmeier, assumed the honorary office of DKJS patroness in 2017 and has since put an emphasis on the needs and interests of youth.
